How to Manage Common Account/Membership Scenarios - USAV
Updated over a week ago

Sometimes, the account and verified information doesn't match, a membership is purchased under the wrong account, or an underage player creates an account and purchases a membership for themselves.

Below are some solutions for these common scenarios.

Common Scenarios

Account or Profile Information

When a membership is purchased, certain information provided by the member when creating their profile is submitted and associated with the membership. This information is considered "verified" and cannot be edited by the account holder or club.

Only the Region or USAV admins with "Org Admin" and "USAV Manager" permissions can edit verified information.

Incorrect Verified Information

If the verified information is incorrect, club admins can send an update request to the region admin.

You must have "Org Admin" permissions to complete the following steps.

  1. From the left navigation menu, click Members > Directory.

  2. Search for the individual and click their name to access their profile.

  3. To the right of the Verified Information, click the three vertical dots > Request Changes.

  4. Your email program opens, and you can make the request to change the verified information.

Incorrect Account or Profile Information

In the case where Verified Information is correct, but Account Information is not, the account holder will need to:

  1. Log in to their account, and click on Household.

  2. Click the member that needs to be updated.

  3. To the right of the Profile Information, click the pencil icon.

  4. Make necessary updates, then Save.

Membership Issues

Membership Purchased Under the Wrong Profile

If a parent accidentally purchases a membership meant for their child under their own profile, you must reach out to an admin from the Region or USAV and request that the membership be moved to the correct profile. To assist, you can give the Region/USAV admin the membership ID associated with each profile.

A Junior Member Created their own Account and Purchased a Membership

USAV requires that all waivers are completed by a legal adult. So, if an account holder is under 18 and purchases a junior player membership for themselves, please contact support with an adult/guardian's information. Support can create the adult's account, and merge the junior player's existing profile and membership under the adult account.
