How to Cancel and Refund a Membership

You must have “Full Access” or "Limited Access - Financials" permissions to refund memberships.

Your organization must have a SportsEngine HQ Premium subscription to utilize any Memberships and Eligibility functionality.

Cancel a Membership

  1. Log in to SportsEngine HQ.

  2. Click Members > Directory.

  3. Use the search bar for the Player or Staff Member that you would like to cancel or refund.

  4. Click their name beneath the Name column.

  5. Click the Memberships tab below their name.

  6. Locate the membership you would like to cancel, click the three verticle dots, and select Cancel.

  7. Make notes for your records, if desired.

  8. If you would like to refund the membership, in addition to the cancellation, check the Issue Refund box.

  9. Click Cancel Membership.

NOTE: The person trying to cancel membership must be the membership owner.

Alternative Method to Refund a Membership

  1. Log in to SportsEngine HQ.

  2. Click Members > Directory.

  3. Use the search bar for the Player or Staff Member that you would like to cancel or refund.

  4. Click their name beneath the Name column.

  5. Click the Memberships tab below their name.

  6. Find the desired membership, on the right-hand side click the three dots > Transaction Details.

  7. In the top right corner, click Issue Refund.

  8. Enter the amount you would like to refund and click Refund.

Refunds can only be made up until 180 days after purchase.
