What is a Master Email?
Updated over 5 months ago

You must have "Full Access" or "Limited Access - Registration Builder" permissions to edit registrations.

If you do not want registrants to create an account when registering, a Master Email question must be included in the registration to send out communications.

NOTE: Providing an email address already in use for an existing account will prompt users to log in. An email address not tied to an existing account will allow the user to register as a guest.

Edit Registration Settings

  1. Sign in to "SportsEngine HQ."

  2. Once in "SportsEngine HQ," click the Registration tab, then choose Registrations.

  3. Click on the title of the registration you are building.

  4. On the right side, click Edit Registration.

  5. Under Status, check the box next to Disabled.

  6. Scroll down and click on Show Advanced Options.

  7. Under Require Login, select Users can register without creating an account.

  8. Click Save Registration.

Add Master Email

  1. After updating your registration settings, click the option on the right that says Go to Registration.

  2. Once in the registration, click into Edit Mode, then click on the page that requests contact information.

  3. Find the email address question that you want to communicate with.

    • If there are more than two emails on the registration, the "Master Email" is usually the first parent/guardian or the player's email.

  4. On the top-right of that question, click the gray gear icon > Edit.

  5. Scroll down, and next to Master Email Question, check Yes.

  6. Click Save Question.

  7. Enable registration.
