What Are Tags?
Updated over 11 months ago

Tags help you only display news articles or events where they are relevant. To add more tags, you have to add more pages.

How Do Tags Work?

When you create a news article or event, you can select the tags that the article content is relevant to. Then when you add news or event aggregators to any page you can select tags relevant to the page, and only articles or events with those tags will display.

What Tags Can I Use?

Available Tags are based on pages in your website, a tag will automatically appear in the tag menu for each non-general page of your site. Tags are only created for general pages if news or events are enabled for that page.

How to Set Default Tags

You will need "Full Access" or "Limited Access - Website" permissions to edit your website.

Setting the "Default Tags" will automatically make Events and News viewable by default on the Calendar and News Collector pages. These tags will automatically be selected the first time a user visits the site.

  1. Sign in and click on the HQ Home icon located at the top of your screen.

  2. Once in "SportsEngine HQ", click on the Website tab then choose Website Settings.

  3. Choose Set Default Tags, then choose the option that says Set Default Tags again.

  4. Click Show Tag Menu.

  5. Scroll down and choose the tags that you would like to have default to your Calendar and News pages.

  6. Click Save Default Tags.
