What Are Content Templates?

You will need "Full Access" or "Limited Access - Website" permissions to edit your website.

NOTE:

  • If you need to update content on a page with a connected template, you will need to update the initial template.

  • Updating the template will update all connected pages.

  • If you need to remove a template from a page, you will need to unlink it.

Content Templates are saved page layouts you can apply on multiple pages on a site for consistency. Several Page Elements can be added to a layout container to hold all the content in one area.

Step 1: Go to Your Templates

  1. Sign in and click on the HQ Home icon at the top of your screen.

  2. Once in "SportsEngine HQ," click the Website tab, then choose Website Tools.

  3. Choose Templates.

Step 2: Choose a Templates

During this step, you will need to choose one of the following:

  • Content Templates: Add and create a custom template.

  • SportsEngine Content Templates: Use a pre-built template.

  • Season Management Templates: Use a templated team page.

Content Template Instructions

  1. Click the Create New Template sub-tab.

  2. Add a name and fill out the settings of the template.

    • Check the box next to Enabled to use this template.

    • The Type selection will signify which kind of page you can add this template to.

    • Make the template a default header or footer template to automatically select the template each time you create a new page.

  3. Click Save Template.

  4. Add layout containers and page elements to the new template as desired.

SportsEngine Content Template Instructions

  1. Click the SportsEngine Content Templates sub-tab.

  2. Scroll through the template options and click Preview to view the template, then click Copy Template to copy it to your template list.

  3. Once the copy is complete, you can edit the template with new Page Elements, etc.

  4. Click Edit Template Settings.

  5. Rename the template as needed and check the box next to Enabled.

  6. Click Save Template.

Season Management Template Instructions

  1. Click the Season Management Templates sub-tab.

  2. Scroll through the template options and click Preview to view the template, then click Copy Template to copy it to your template list.

  3. Once the copy is complete, you can edit the template with new Page Elements, etc.

  4. Click Edit Template Settings.

  5. Rename the template as needed and check the box next to Enabled.

  6. Click Save Template.
