You must have "Full Access" or "Limited Access - Website" permissions to add News Articles.
A News Article is used to display current and important information. Content Templates can be created to use the same format for all news articles.
Sign in to your SportsEngine website, and turn on Edit Mode.
You can add a News Article one of the following ways:
In the upper right corner of any News Aggregator or News Slideshow page element, click Add Article.
Across the top navigation bar, on the main "news page," a News Article can be added to the news collector and tagged to any page needed.
Scroll down and click Show Tag Menu and choose each page (tag) that the article should appear on. Only News Enabled pages can be selected. Click here for instructions on how to enable News on a General Page.
Select the Status of your Article.
Draft - This status keeps your news article hidden while you add and refine content.
Published - When the article is ready to go, change the status to "Published" and choose the Date and Time to publish your article. The article will remain hidden until the time selected.
Expiration Date - Select the date and time the article should expire.
Fill in the Title and Author of the article.
Add a Preview Image by clicking the has image? checkbox (optional).
NOTE: Only articles with a Preview Image will display within a News Slideshow Page Element. Images with an aspect ratio of 5:3 (w:h) will look best within a News Slideshow element.
Add Preview Text to give users a glimpse of what your article is about (optional).
Click Create this News Article.
