You must have "Full Access" or "Limited Access - Website" permissions to do this.
Because of a limit that X (formerly Twitter) has set in their API, you may experience an error in your organization's X posts that claims a Rate Limit has been exceeded. To remedy this, you'll want to create your own app from within X's development tools and provide the resulting Consumer Key and Consumer Secret in SportsEngine HQ. With the use of your own app, it is unlikely that you’ll ever exceed the Rate Limit again.
Log in to x.com
Access developer.x.com
Scroll to the bottom of the page, and under Tools, choose Manage Your Apps.
At the top-right of the screen, click Create New App.
Enter the following:
Name: What you’d like the app to be titled.
Description: A brief elaboration on the title.
Website: Enter your association's website URL, including HTTP://, ie http://www.mysportsorganizationswebsite.com
Callback URL: The same URL as the Website.
Accept the terms and click Create your X Application.
The resulting page will be the app settings page. Choose the tab titled Keys and Access Tokens.
Navigate to your website in a different window or tab.
Sign in to your site and select the HQ Home icon at the top-left to access SportsEngine HQ.
Click Website, then select the Website Settings tab.
Choose X App.
Select the option of X App Authentication.
On the resulting screen, enter the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret (provided on the still-open X app setting page) in the appropriate fields and click Save. It is suggested that you copy and paste the Key and Secret, as the fields will validate your entry and error out if the entries are inaccurate.
You can now use the Feed Reader Page Element to display your X feed without getting the Rate Limit Exceeded message.
