You must have Ontario Soccer Access Permissions to perform this step.

NOTE: This process is designed for customers that don't use SportsEngine to manage their Teams and Rosters. If you continue with this option you will NOT be able to add teams from Team Pages or SportsEngine HQ - You will only be able to add teams manually or through import.

Getting Started

  1. Sign in to your account and go to "SportsEngine HQ."

  2. On the left-hand navigation, click on Ontario Soccer > Governing Seasons.

  3. Under the Governing Season, click Get Started.

  4. You will see a window outlining three steps that you need to take in order to successfully submit your roster.

  5. Click Get Started.

CSV Import

  1. To utilize CSV Import, click No to "Do you use SportsEngine to manage your club and teams?"

  2. Click OK to Import or Manually Add.

  3. Click the option to Import Teams.

  4. On the Upload a File screen, first click on the option to Download the Template.

  5. Open the upload template CSV.

  6. Input your roster and team information into the CSV file. The following fields are mandatory:

    • Team Name

    • Team Role: Player, Staff, Registrar, Volunteer Coordinator, President, etc...

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email

    • Date of Birth: yyyy-mm-dd format

    • Gender

  7. Save the upload template.

  8. Navigate back to the Upload a File screen, and click Add File to add and open your CSV template. You can also click, drag, and drop the file.

  9. Click Next.

    • The next screen will match your import columns. Green means you are good to go, while red means you will need to make some edits.

  10. Click Next.

    • If the system finds duplicates or errors, you'll be asked to resolve them. Once finished, click Next.

  11. Check the information presented on the Review screen, and click Import.

    • This may take several minutes to complete, depending on the file size.

Assigning Teams and Purchasing Memberships

  1. Click Let's Assign Teams.

  2. Click, drag, and drop the teams from the left column to the correct division under the right column.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Click Apply Membership and Submit.

  5. The next two screens will allow you to review the player and staff data. If you need to remove someone, click Remove. Otherwise, click Next.

  6. Purchase memberships for each player then click Review Order.

    • NOTE: If a profile is missing information like gender or birthdate, it will be removed from the order. A profile will also be removed if they already have existing memberships.

  7. Click Close to finish the process.

NOTE: Your Ontario Soccer District will now approve or deny the rosters you have submitted.
