Learn About Payouts

Automatic Payout Timeline

eCheck (ACH) and Credit Card (CC) funds pay out separately following registrations, invoicing, or membership payments.

Credit Card funds take up to 2 business days.

  • CC payouts will contain funds from payments received two business days prior.

eCheck funds take up to 7 business days.

  • eCheck payouts will contain funds from payments received seven business days prior.

How do payouts work?

Funds collected by an organization are deposited into the organization's active account daily. Each payout contains credit card payments processed two business days prior or eCheck payments processed seven business days prior (this is how long it takes for those funds to settle and become available for payout).

For example, credit card payments processed on a Tuesday are paid out by Thursday, whereas eCheck payments processed on the same Tuesday may take until Thursday of the following week to pay out.

If you have credit card and eCheck payments that pay out on the same day, your organization will receive two deposits.

Any refunds issued, ACH returns, or chargebacks your organization incurs are also factored into the payout amount.

Payout Report

When you start processing online payments, the money your organization collects is held until it's settled, then batched into nightly payouts and automatically deposited into the organization's active bank account.

A record of each payout will appear here so that an admin with the correct permissions can use this report for reconciliation.

Payout Schedule

NOTE: All payments and payouts are processed according to UTC time, so the processed date may differ from your local time.

For example, payments processed on a Tuesday will be paid out by Thursday, and payments processed on a Friday will be paid out by Tuesday. See the deposit timeline below, based on the UTC cutoff timeline:

Failed Payouts

NOTE: Your organization's admin with "Full Access" or "Limited Access - Financial" permissions will receive an email notifying them of failed payouts.

The most common reasons for failed payouts are:

  • Incorrect Financial Settings information.

  • Insufficient funds.

  • Payout rejected by the bank.

Failed Payouts will only re-try automatically if the failure is due to insufficient funds or if the incorrect Financial Settings information is corrected.

For all other failed payout scenarios, please click Contact Us to resume payouts.

Incorrect Financial Settings Information

Payouts will resume automatically once accurate financial information is provided.

  1. A modal displays in the email outlining why the payout failed.

  2. Within that modal, click Update Financial Settings.

    • You are redirected to your "Financial Settings" tab.

  3. Follow the prompts to replace/update your financial information.

    • Once the Financial Settings Information is updated with the correct information, payouts will resume.

Insufficient Funds

Insufficient funds mean that you have a negative receiving balance. This usually occurs because too many refunds were issued in a short period, or because disputes were filed and chargebacks were awarded.

Your payouts will resume automatically once you start collecting enough payments to reverse the negative balance.

Payout Rejected by Bank

Please reach out to your banking institution to inquire why they have rejected the payout.
