Tournament Mobile Application Guide
Tournament Mobile is a branded application that can be used for more than one tournament. This is an additional add-on item from the Tournament Tool.
The application will connect directly with the SportsEngine Tournament Tool, Tournament Mobile Site Shell, and a SportsEngine Website.
Tournament Information: This information pulls from a site shell which you can customize to display tournament information. It will all link from the home page using link page elements. You can then create general pages and link to those pages from the home page.
Step 1: Select the Mobile Site Shell that SportsEngine would provide.
Step 2: Log In> Select Edit Mode> To Edit the Page Titles Select the Page, Options, and Edit Page Details> Add Page Elements to each Page
Step 3: Select Home Page> Select the Link Buttons Already Created> Copy the Link from the Customized Created Page> Edit the Link Button> Add in the Button Title and Link
Note: Make sure all of the links are accurate on the Home Page, so when a person viewing the applications selects a button they will be directed to the correct link.
Schedules & Results: The schedule is create in the tournament tool and the results are posted once scores are entered and marked complete.
Scores for tournament games can be edited directly from the Tournament Mobile application, when signed in, with Webmaster Permissions to the Organizations Website.
Step 1: Open/Download the Tournament Mobile Application> Sign In> Select Schedule & Results> Locate the Game
Step 2: Select the Game
Step 3: Select the Edit Pencil on the Top Right
Step 4: Add or Edit Score> Mark Complete> Save Score
Standings: Standings are sorted on a per division basis and are based upon scores and standing rules entered in the tournament tool. If pool play and elimination brackets are set up, this will display in the Tourney Tool.
Activities & Events: Events and Activities can be viewable on the app, by adding them on your SportsEngine Organization Website's Calendar or Event Aggregator. When you add these events a certain tag will need to be selected. This tag will be created once Tourney Mobile is provisioned for your organization.
News: News can be viewable on the app, by adding News Articles in to a News Aggregator on your SportsEngine Organization Website Calendar or Event Aggregator. When you add these events a certain tag will need to be selected. This tag will be created once Tourney Mobile is provisioned for your organization.
Announcements: These can be create either on the app., or on a SportEngine Organization website by following these steps:
Admin Control Panel> Website Tools> Mobile Announcement
Add Posts, Photos, and Videos:
Any person that downloads the application can post a comment, a photo, or a video to the application, once it is approved by a Moderator.
Step 1: Open/Download the Application
Step 2: Select Post
Step 3: Choose either Photo, Video, or Post
- Photo: Either take a Photo or choose an existing one
- Video: Record a Video or Choose from Library
- Post: Type a Post (Comment)
This will all be viewable in the Steam Area of the Tournament Mobile Application
Moderate (Control) Posts, Photos, and Videos:
Users can add photos, videos, and posts for others to view on the Tournament Mobile application. Before any of this information is viewable, a Moderator must approve the post. A Moderator must have Webmaster Permissions on the Organizations Website.
Step 1: Open/Download the Application> Sign In> Select the Menu Area in the Top Left
Step 2: Select Moderation Queue> Select Photo, Video, or Post
Step 3: Select the Pencil to Edit, Approve, or Delete
Receive Push Notifications:
A push notification can be sent directly from a SportsEngine website or from the Tournament Mobile Application. To receive a Push Notification a person must be signed in to the application and accept push notifications in order for push notifications to be viewed by an application viewer.
Step 1: Open/Download the Tournament Mobile Application> Sign In> Select Menu in the Top Left
Step 2: Select Settings> Select Push Notifications
Step 3: Select the Tournament> Turn on Push Notifications
