Create Products and Bundles to Sell Through Registration

You must have Full Access permissions to create products and product bundles.

Admins can use "SportsEngine HQ" to create products and product bundles and sell them through registration. To do so, your organization must have:

  • Commerce products enabled

  • Completed financial onboarding

  • Sell Custom Products enabled in Registration Settings

Commerce products are currently in Beta. If your organization would like to activate this feature, please contact your account manager.

Create a Product

  1. Sign in to “SportsEngine HQ.”

  2. Click Commerce > Products.

  3. Click Add product.

  4. Fill out the form and click Save once complete.

  5. If desired, set the product to Active.

    • Once a product is active, it can be sold in registrations where custom products are enabled.

Create a Bundle

Use bundles when you want to sell multiple items together, including discounted combinations.

  1. Sign in to “SportsEngine HQ.”

  2. Click Commerce > Products.

  3. Click Create product bundle.

  4. Enter the product bundle details.

  5. Click Choose Products, then check the boxes for each product to include in the bundle. Once complete, click Save.

    • You can configure bundle pricing at a discount compared to the individual items.

  7. If desired, fill out the Media section to include images and image descriptions.

  8. If desired, set the bundle to Active.

    • You can activate bundles only after all included products are active. Only active products and bundles can be sold in registrations where custom products are enabled.

Best Practices

  • Add clear product names and descriptions so users understand what they are buying.

  • Use images whenever possible to make products easier to recognize.

  • Double-check pricing before setting a product or bundle to active.

  • Use bundles to promote multiple items together.

  • Test the registration experience before promoting it widely.

  • Update product status from active to inactive when an item is no longer available.

  • Review registration settings before opening it.

  • Use Financial reporting to understand your sales, including what sold and what still needs to be fulfilled.
