Comment StreamThe Comment Stream page element provides a place for users to add and reply to comments. A Comment Stream can be added to any website page by itself or placed directly under another element, such as a News Aggregator, to collect comments about that element. Users can choose to either add a new comment or reply to an existing comment.
Ways to use the Comment Stream
- Add the Comment Stream below a news article to allow users to add their opinions and feedback on the article.
- By adding a Comment Stream to your Team Page, a coach/manager can initiate a discussion by asking something like, "Who will be at Saturday's game?" and then players can add a reply to the comment with their availability.
- Add a Comment Stream to any page to get general feedback about something
This is a place where fans can gather to talk about games and the league. You can add a general page to your website called 'Wall' and then place aComment Stream page element on this page. You may also want to include text at the top of the page with any instructions or rules that you would like apply.
Add a Comment Stream:
Step 1: Log in
Step 2: Toggle on Edit Mode
Step 3: Click Add Page Element
Step 4: Select Comment Stream
Step 5: Adjust the settings
Step 6: Click Create This Page Element

Comment Stream Settings
Require Login?: If login is required, a person must be logged into their SportsEngine account in order to post a comment.
Comment Approval Required?: If approval is required, comments will be hidden until they are approved by a Page Owner. Page Owners must be in Edit Mode to approve comments.
Comment Sort Order:
Standard Blog Style- new comments added to the bottom
Conversation Wall Style- new comments added to the top
Email Notifications: Select which admins should get an email when a new comment is posted
SportsEngine Mirroring: Enables the page element to be mirrored. What is Mirroring?
Lock in Place: Prevent this element from being repositioned.
Disable Editing: Prevent non-webmasters from editing this element.
If you require comment approval when creating your Comment Stream, an admin must approve each comment before it will be displayed publicly on your site. To approve comments:
Step 1: Toggle on Edit Mode
Step 2: Find the Comment Stream page element
Step 3: Click approve next to the comment
If you have more than one comment streams across your site, you can create a Comment Aggregator to pull all the comments from the different pages and display them together in one place. To add a Comment Aggregator:
Step 1: Login
Step 2: Click Add Page Element
Step 3: Select Comment Aggregator
Step 4: Adjust settings
Step 5: Click Create This Page Element
