How do I Process a Refund?

Members with Webmaster and Financial Admin permissions are able to process a refund on a registrant's order.

Notes
  • If a full refund is processed the transaction fees will also be refunded.
  • You must have Webmaster and/or Financial Admin permissions.
  • When you use your own merchant account (ex: USA Epay), the refunds process through the merchant, not through SportsEngine.
  • An Admin can only Refund 120 days from the transaction date.
  • Refunds are made back to original payment source.
  • Refunds can take up to 3 days to process. 
To issue a refund, do the following:
  1. Login to your site using your SportsEngine username and password.
  2. Select the Admin Control Panel. 
  3. Select the Financials tab and then select Orders.
  4. Search and locate the order for which you want to refund.
  5. Select the View/Refund link.
  6. Select the Issue Refund button.
  7. Select Full or Partial Refund (Partial refunds are only available 36 hours after the transaction was placed.)
