Design Your Website

There are many ways that you can change the design of your SportsEngine website to make it your own, but a great place to start is under Theme Settings where you can change the website colors, logo, background image, and banner image.

Navigate to Theme Settings

Several of the website design settings are located within the Theme Settings subsection. Here's how to get there:

Step 1: Log in to your site
Step 2: Head to the Admin Control Panel
Step 3: Click the Website Settings tab
Step 4: Click Theme Settings

Change Your Website Colors

Your website Brand Colors affect the color of every page element on your website. Choosing brand colors that represent your organization will give your website a familiar and professional look.

Step 1: From Theme Settings click on the Brand Color tab
Step 2: Select a Primary Color and a Secondary Color by clicking the colored box
Step 3: Click Save Changes

Change Your Background Image

Your website Background Image is displayed behind your website's main content. Choose a subtle background image to complement your site's primary content. You can also choose a SportsEngine Background or a solid color as a background if you don't want to use your own image.

Step 1: From Theme Settings click on the Background or SportsEngine Background tab
Step 2: Click Add Background Graphic or use an existing image by clicking the gear icon, then Edit
Step 3: Select an image from your computer by clicking Choose File or select a solid color
Step 4: Check Site Default or select the pages where you would like the image to appear 
Step 5: Add a title, adjust the settings, and set the image to Active
Step 6: Click Create This Background Graphic

Recommended Background Image Size: 1600px x 1000px

Background Image Settings

Active: You must check this in order to use the background image.
Site Default: Make the image your site's primary background (only one site default allowed per website).
Title: A name to identify the background image. The title will not be displayed to visitors.
Description: A description to identify the background image. The description is not displayed to visitors.
Background Color: The solid color that will display to the sides of or in place of a background image.
Position: The position on the website page where the image appears.
Repeat: Determines if the background image is repeated vertically or horizontally (not recommended).
Attachment: Determines if the background image stays in the window if a visitor scrolls.
Background Graphic: The image to be placed in the background.
Section: Select a section to only show a background image on specific pages.

Change Your Banner Image

Your website Banner Image is displayed above your main website content on selected pages. It's a great place to add the name of your organization in style!

Step 1: From Theme Settings click on the Banner or SportsEngine Banner tab
Step 2: Click Add Banner Graphic or use an existing image by clicking the gear icon, then Edit
Step 3: Select an image from your computer by clicking Choose File
Step 4: Check Site Default or select the pages where you would like the image to appear 
Step 5: Add a title, adjust the settings, and set the image to Active
Step 6: Click Create This Banner Graphic

Recommended Banner Image Size-- 1000px x 300px

Banner Image Settings

Active: You must check this in order to use the banner image.
Site Default: Make the image your site's primary banner(only one site default allowed per website).
Other Site Default: Use the banner as a secondary default banner for messages
Show Headline on Banner: Display a headline on the banner, such as your organization name.
Title: A name to identify the banner image.
Show Title on Banner: Display the title on the banner image.
Show Tagline on Banner: Display a tagline or subtitle on the banner
Transparent Background: See the background through the banner (only if the image itself is transparent)
Description: A description to identify the banner image. The description is not displayed to visitors.
Banner Graphic: The image to be placed in the banner.
Section: Select a section to only show a banner image on specific pages.
