Layout Containers

Layout Containers provide the visual structure of your website by dividing your pages into columns of content. Page elements will automatically be sized to the width of the layout container that they are placed in.

You can add multiple layout containers on each page. Layout containers are also used in SportsEngine emails, registrations, team pages, and templates.

Add a Layout Container

Step 1: Log in to your site
Step 2:
Turn on Edit Mode
Step 3: Click Add Layout Container
Step 4:
Select the layout of the layout container
Step 5: Click Create Layout Container

The new layout container will appear at the bottom of the page.

Edit, Move, or Copy a Layout Container

If you already have a layout container with content in it, you can edit, move, or duplicate it without deleting the content inside of it.

Step 2:

Select Copy to duplicate the Layout Container on the same page.

Turn on Edit Mode
Step 3: Click on the gear icon in the right hand corner of the layout container that you want to edit

Mirror a Layout Container

If you would like to have the same content on two different pages, but you don't want to have to update both when you make a change to one, you can mirror the layout container.

Mirroring a layout container allows you to display that layout container on any page that you can edit, even a page on another SportsEngine website. If you make a change to the layout container, it will also change on any page it is mirrored on.

Step 1: Log in to your site
Step 2:
Turn on Edit Mode
Step 3: Click on the gear icon in the right hand corner of the layout container that you want to mirror
Step 4: Select Mirror
Step 5:
Click Add to My Mirrors

Step 6:
Navigate to the page where you would like to mirror the layout container
Step 7: Click Add Layout Container
Step 8: Select Mirror Layout Container
Step 9: Select the Layout Container that you want to mirror
