Display a Tourney to a Public Site

Public display of Tourney information can be achieved in multiple ways: Microsite Pages, HTML IFrames, or, if you’re using Tourney for Hockey or Soccer,  linking to the Tourney App through native Page Elements that are specific to Game information and various types of stats. Before posting Tourney Information, what is displayed can be customized.

Step 1: Customize the display settings for a tourney that will be posted on a public site. Navigate to the Tournament that will display> Select 'Settings'>
Select 'Site Settings' and adjust accordingly.

Step 2: Display Tourney Information to a Public Site:

Microsite: Adding the Tournament Display to a Microsite is the simplest way to add tournament information to a SportsEngine webpage. However, no other page elements can be added to a Tournament Microsite Page.

HTML IFrame: HTML Code added to a SportsEngine page (using a Code Element page element) or Non-SportsEngine webpage to display tournament information. The length and width on the HTML Code may need to be adjusted to fit your particular web page, but the page on which it is located need not be exclusively tournament information, as with a Microsite Page.

Page Elements (Native to Hockey and Soccer): After stats have been entered in the Tourney App, they are available to be reflected by your associated Team’s Sitebuilder site through a variety of Page Elements that exist for this purpose. These include the following: Team Stats Page Element, Player Stats Page Element, Game Highlight Page Element, Game List Page Element, Player Stat Leader Page Element, and Scoreboard Ribbon Page Element.

Microsite Page

Step 1: Navigate to the Tournament you’d like to display> Select the Publish to Site button on the top right> Select the Go to Public Site
Step 2: Copy the Microsite ID at the end of the resulting page’s URL.
Step 3: Navigate to where you’d like the Tournament information to be placed on your Organization’s SportsEngine Website.
Step 4: Toggle into Edit Mode, and select Add New Page.
Step 5: Choose to create a Microsite Page> Title your new Page and Paste your Microsite ID taken from the URL in Step 5
Step 6: Select the Create and Go To Page button.
Step 7: Toggle back into User Mode and confirm you can now view the Tournament Information. You will now have successfully created a Microsite page for the displaying of Tournament information.

HTML IFrame

Step 1: Navigate to the Tournament you’d like to display> Select the blue Publish to Site button on the top right> Select the Go to Public Site
Step 2: Copy the entire URL at the top of the screen. Note: If you would like to set up specific division pages, you can pull the link directly from that division.

Paste the URL into to the following Code Element:

<iframe SRC="TOURNAMENT LINK" style="border:none;" FRAMEBORDER="0" WIDTH="750" HEIGHT="1100" SCROLLING="auto" MARGINHEIGHT="0" MARGINWIDTH="0"></iframe>

The Final Code should be customized to your link:

<iframe SRC="https://tournament.sportngin.com/show/5351351e80d8de1d740011f2" style="border:none;" FRAMEBORDER="0" WIDTH="750" HEIGHT="1100" SCROLLING="auto" MARGINHEIGHT="0" MARGINWIDTH="0"></iframe>

Step 3: Copy the Code and Navigate to the SportsEngine Page you would like to Place the Code on.
Step 4: Toggle into Edit Mode, and select Add Page Element> Select the Code Element option.
Step 5: Paste the Code into the appropriate field.

  • If the Size needs to be adjusted you can change both the width and height in the code, by pixel count.
  • If you would like the default to be a different page from the Tournament Tool, navigate to that age group, standings, or bracket on the public site and copy in that link instead.
Step 6: Toggle back into User Mode and confirm you can now view the Tournament Information. You will now have successfully created an HTML IFrame for the displaying of Tournament information.

Page Elements (Native to Hockey and Soccer)

After stats have been entered in the Tourney App, they are available to be reflected by your associated Team’s Sitebuilder site through a variety of Page Elements that exist for this purpose. If you would like to link off to Team Tournament pages, this is a setting that can be turned on through your account manager. The page elements include the following:

  • Team Stats Page Element: Teams do not need to have any Stats entered to show up in this Page Element. They will be shown with zeros until stats are entered.
  • Player Stats Page Element: Players do not need to have any Stats entered to show up in this Page Element. They will be shown with zeros until stats are entered.
  • Game Highlight Page Element: Page Element links to the Game Page which shows specific stats for a single game.
  • Game List Page Element: This is a reproduction of the Scoring & Stats page and Game List from Tourney. It links to the Game Page which shows specific stats for a single game.
  • Player Stat Leader Page Element: Shows stat leaders in a specific stat category.
  • Scoreboard Ribbon Page Element: This Scoreboard Ribbon looks the same as the classic, non-Tourney App linked Ribbon, and similarly has no controls over the number of games shown, only the date range from which to pull games, and further filtered by Division and Team. It links to the Game Page which shows specific stats for a single game.
